On 27 April, Hungry Man Productions was kind enough to fly me to New York for the world premiere of Dabka, the movie based on my book The Pirates of Somalia, at the TriBeCa film festival.
I had a blast hanging out with many of the cast and crew who worked on the movie, including Evan Peters (who plays me!), Barkhad Abdi, and Bryan Buckley, the director, producer, and scriptwriter. Some photos below:

The trailer for Dabka:
What an incredible experience to be at the world premiere of Dabka and meet the cast, especially Evan Peters playing you! It's always fascinating to see how a true story is adapted for film. It reminds me how different narratives can be brought to life, whether in a movie or even in a game like town of salem. Sounds like a blast! 🙂
